## Description
Accessing the Emoji library can be painful š« on some operating systems. You always
have to leave the editor which is not useful for distraction-free writing.
* This plugin reduces the burden by implementing an easy to use Emoji picker in
the block toolbar.
* Can be used with any WordPress theme.
* Only compatible with WordPress (Gutenberg) Core. Third-party page builders will
probably not work.
**Emoji Netiquette:** Emojis have become popular culture and are here to stay but
choose them wisely and avoid āļø excessive use in your (business) communication.
The Emoji Mart library (BSD 3-Clause āNewā or āRevisedā License) has been developed
by Missive.

## Installation
1. Upload the Plugin to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory.
2. Activate it through the āPluginsā menu in WordPress.
3. Open a page or post using the block editor, add a paragraph or heading block and
select the āEmojiā menu item from the toolbar.
4. Choose an Emoji and it will appear in the content area. Simple and fast!
## FAQ
### Emojis donāt show up in the content!
* You need to make sure that your database tables use the `utf8mb4` collation to

### How do I change the skin tones?
* Click on the yellow dot button (bottom right) in the popup and select the preferred
color tone.
### I canāt see any flag emojis!
* Unfortunately not all operating systems (like Windows) support flag emojis and
instead just show the two-letter country code. You can learn more about the reasons

* Yes, you can network-activate this plugin and the feature will be enabled on
all sites.

Thank you for the plugin; it integrates very well with the block editor. It has
an icon search feature, which I find essential, and I havenāt noticed any load on
the website. PD. I would prefer if the toolbar icon were black and white to match
the rest of the elements, but thatās a matter of personal taste.

I was looking for an easy way to add an emoji tool to the block editor for a client
and came across this. Installed & activated in seconds. Works great! Will definitely
